Microsoft is betting big on AI. There’s no secret about that. The Redmond tech giant demo-ed its Copilot AI a few months back, and things seem to be working fine, especially in its financial aspects.
That said, it only makes sense for Microsoft to continue improving the users’ experience on Copilot. The Windows makers now updated its roadmap site with a new addition for the AI assistant tool: you’ll soon have prompt suggestions in Copilot chat based on your interactions with the chatbot, so you won’t have to start from the blank.
“Get started in Copilot chat quickly with automatic prompt suggestions that enhance your productivity by providing relevant and context-aware prompts based on your previous interactions,” the pembaruan reads, billed under Feature ID 409962.
Microsoft then mentions that the feature is coming worldwide with a rollout start in September 2024, for both Windows and Mac versions as well as Copilot’s web on copilot.microsoft.com.
So far, whenever you open a Copilot chat, it’ll greet you with either a fresh, blank start or basic prompts that aren’t necessarily tied to your previous interactions with the chatbot. OpenAI’s ChatGPT also boots up with something similar.
If you may recall, Microsoft is also working on yet another Copilot capability in Word, letting you customize the tone and style of your writing to match your individual or professional voice. It’s (sort of) like Copilot’s “sound like me” feature on Outlook, but instead, it helps you draft documents and such.
